Hi Bold Bakers!

Only recently have I started to appreciate just how yummy Fettuccine Alfredo is. I love that rich, creamy garlic-infused sauce with thick comforting noodles —man, it’s one of my favorite pasta dishes! Although I didn’t grow up eating this in Ireland I can 100% see why Fettuccini Alfredo is such a fan favorite. After making other noodle dishes in a mug like Microwave Macaroni and Cheese in a Mug and Microwave Mug Ramen, I knew up next was a fettuccini alfredo, I just didn’t realize I’d be creating the Fastest Way To Make Fettuccini Alfredo! The best part is this isn’t just any recipe, it’s my super simple make-ahead recipe.

I am no stranger to a frozen dinner when I get busy which is why I started re-thinking the way I meal prep. As you all know I love to get the most out of my microwave and I enjoy making single-serving treats in a mug. So when it came to creating the recipe for this classic pasta I knew exactly what to do. There is no reason why something prepared in advance shouldn’t be super delicious and taste just like how it does in a restaurant. This make-ahead fettuccini alfredo will blow you away as it doesn’t just look like the real deal… it is the real deal!

And guess what? If you want to use any one of my Homemade Pasta recipes, you absolutely can.

What Is The Fastest Way To Make Fettuccini Alfredo?

In a mug! It’s also the perfect way to get a single serving of it, so you’re not tempted to eat an entire pot of it — which, honestly, nobody would blame you for wanting to do. First, you cook the pasta, then you add in the homemade alfredo sauce, and it’s all done in minutes.

I made this for my husband and grandson for a Sunday lunch. They loved it. I had to substitute heavy cream for crème fraîche and shredded emmental for parmesan, but it didn’t make much difference as they haven’t had it with the recommended ingredients, I also threw in a few lardons. It was quick and easy and the best thing, my grandson wanted a second one.

This was delicious. Next time I will either double the recipe or serve it with a side salad. I also think adding chopped ham would be excellent. A winning recipe indeed!

Gemma,
My question is about the cheese.
Do you use real Parmigiano Reggiano or
do you use the pregrated Parmesan in the package when you make this dish?

HI Gemma,
A couple of questions for you: Can the pasta be macaroni instead? Can milk be substituted for the cream? My teens in my youth program are asking for chicken alfredo so I plan to adapt this but have to keep the costs down! 30 1/4 cups of cream would be costly unless I milk a cow! 🙂 Thank you for all the recipes!

I was wondering if you could make a video/ recipe for homemade noodles and spaghetti. I am hyper sensitive to preservatives in foods and am forced to make things from scratch as much as possible and would love noodles for all kinds of things like lasagna and Mac and cheese and tuna noodle casserole. thanks.
